okay i'm not sure if i'm doing this comment correctly so bear with me- but this is SO GOOD! it's so faithful to the book (which i know is a weird thing to say given that it's a comic adaption but STILL). i might cry. also while i was reading this i remembered the time you called ishmael a "soft sad twink" and i couldn't stop laughing because HE IS. i can really tell how much work you put into this and i can't wait for the next update

Oh wow! I’m reading this comic on my teeny tiny phone so I have to squint a bit but still!! Incredible! Ishmael looks just as continually sad as I imagined him!

This is my English-teacher-dream come true! I’m so impressed by this gorgeous comic book adaptation of Moby-Dick. There isn’t a decent Moby-Dick comic by someone who really gets the novel and it deserves one. Everyone always thinks the story is only about Ahab and the whale. But it’s really about Ishmael, of course. I absolutely love this. I can’t wait to keep reading. You capture Ishmael’s frame of mind in the opening chapters perfectly. I love the innkeeper too. I’m so glad you included his description of the marriage bed. Super excited! This is amazing!

Ahh thank you so much, this really means the world to me :') The reason why I wanted to tell this story so much in the first place is Because of Ishmael-- he's the reason it's stuck with me so much (and Queequeg, of course).

I also read it on my little phone lol. but I LOVE your works so much, both comic and articles. I just start reading Moby Dick recently, as English is not my native language, it's much difficult for me to understand the book. However, when I read Moby Dick, I immediately attractd by the odd relationship between Ishmael and Queequeg. They're so intimate that almost like a married couple. Again, thank you for your creative and loving art.❤

I hope you enjoy the book as well! It definitely can be difficult to read through, even if english is your first language, so i know what you mean! i wish you luck and hope the book brings you as much joy as it did me (including the lovely and very-much-married -- see chapter 10 -- Ishmael & Queequeg :))
